As soon as SCALERAIL is available to buy in your local music store and from our website we will be launching our first SCALERAIL Courses in the UK.
Teaching the Piano with SCALERAIL
An introduction
These one day courses, led by Jeremy Russell and Paul Groves, are suitable for young piano teachers new to the profession or experienced teachers who are looking for new ideas and approaches in their piano teaching.
Each course will cover:
What SCALERAIL is and the philosophy behind it
How you can use SCALERAIL with your youngest students
Scales and Arpeggios - facts and fallacies
Using SCALERAIL to teach brilliant scales and arpeggios
Using SCALERAIL to help advanced students and adults
Advice on teaching materials and practice methods
Technical work in Piano Examinations
SCALERAIL and the repertoire
Questions and answers
All course materials will be provided. The courses will be taught by a combination of informal lectures, practical sessions and demonstrations. There will be opportunity for discussion and the sharing of ideas. A light lunch, tea and coffee will be provided. Maximum of 10 participants for each course.
Participants will be able to buy SCALERAIL for themselves with a course member's discount and also place orders for their students.
