SCALERAIL
SCALERAIL is a highly effective, beautifully designed teaching and practice aid which helps to overcome the technical difficulties encountered when playing scales and arpeggios.
The idea for SCALERAIL grew out of over 20 years teaching at the highest level, and whilst simple, it's a highly focussed piece of equipment with patent pending. Marketed at an affordable price, it is designed to be used in both the teaching studio and in the home.
SCALERAIL teaches the hand, wrist, arm and shoulders to work in harmony at the keyboard.
The principle is simple – when playing scales and arpeggios the movement of the hand and arm must be linear. SCALERAIL gently supports the pianist's forearm, maintaining a 'forward-facing' hand position at all times. In this way, good habits are instilled right from the start.
